Philippine Embassy Celebrates “Buwan ng Wika”
20-24 August 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo celebrated National Language Month (“Buwan ng Wika”) with a host of activities for children ages 4-10 years old. Activities included the singing of “Lupang Hinirang,” counting in Filipino, playing traditional Filipino games and listening to Filipino stories such as “Ang Mabait na Kalabaw” by National Artist for Literature and National Commission for Culture and the Arts Chairperson, Virgilio S. Almario.
The week-long activities aimed at reminding the students of the importance of the Filipino language and culture. END
