Copy Certification of Philippine Passport 

The Philippine Embassy may certify copies of Philippine passport data and signature pages upon presentation by the holder of the original passport.

Requirements

1. Confirmed appointment for Copy Certification*: Book Your Appointment with Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan
2. Original and two (2) photocopies of Philippine passport data and signature page (pages 2 & 3) in A4-size paper (photocopy should be positioned on the upper part of the A4-size paper to give enough space for the Embassy’s stamped certification)
3. One (1) empty self-addressed ¥520 Japan Post letter pack.

Procedure

1. Submit requirements for assessment at the Notarial window.
2. Choose between Regular or Express release of documents by mail:
   a. Regular-processed document/s will be mailed to your address in Japan three (3) working days after the date of filing.
   b. Express-processed document/s are mailed on the next working day.
3. Pay fees at the Cashier:
   a. Certification fee is ¥3,500 per document
   b. If express service is requested, additional fee of ¥1,400 is charged per document

* Request for copy certification of Philippine passport may also be done by mail. The holder of the passport must send to the Philippine Embassy by mail the original Philippine passport and an empty self-addressed 520 Japan Post letter pack (Please do not include cash). Payment of ¥3,500 should be made through “Genkin Kakitome”. The certified copy of passport and original passport will be mailed back to the applicant three (3) working days after receipt of the complete requirements and payment.
