JAL Donates 10 Million Yen to Yolanda Disaster Fund
Mr. Ueki, Yoshiharu, President of Japan Airlines together with top JAL executives visited Ambassador Lopez in the Philippine Embassy to present their donation for the Yolanda disaster fund last Dec. 3, 2013.
Mr. Ueki mentioned that when he was a pilot he used to fly to the Philippines and he has seen from the sky many beautiful islands that can be enjoyed by visitors to the country. JAL has been flying to the Philippines since 1967.
Ambassador Lopez thanked Mr. Ueki and mentioned that historical events have once again made it possible to reunite Japan the U.S. and the Philippines, this time for a massive rescue and relief operation right after the Yolanda disaster.
