The Philippine Embassy Honors the Filipino Graduates in Japan
31 March 2023 – On 29 March 2023, Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene J. Garcia-Albano attended the online “Paghayo sa Tagasibol” Program 2023. This event was organized by the Association of Filipino Students in Japan (AFSJ) in coordination with the Philippine Embassy. A total of 22 members of AFSJ formed the “spring” batch of graduates finishing various degrees from the different Universities in Japan.
In her message, Amb. Garcia – Albano commended the graduates for their commitment and hard work that allowed them to finish their studies in Japan even amidst the challenges faced with the “new normal” brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ambassador also encouraged the graduates to share their newfound learnings and experiences with other Filipinos to inspire them to explore the possibilities of further education for their continued development.
