Philippine Embassy in Tokyo Commemorates Rizal Day
30 Dec 2016 – Mr. Eduardo Martin R. Menez, Chargé d’affaires, a.i. , led a simple ceremony at the Philippine Embassy lobby to commemorate the death and martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

This year’s theme, “Rizal: Bayaning Global, Aydol ni Juan!” looks back at Rizal as a student, a writer, a doctor and a man of the world. He was indeed the first global Filipino. His accomplishments in the Philippines and abroad ignited the nationalism of Filipinos during his time which paved the way for the birth of the Philippine nation. END
