Mental Health
A number of Filipinos in Japan suffer from mental health problems caused by severe stress. Some can also be due to bullying, domestic violence, genetic predisposition, and possibly even drug addiction.
For these cases, the Embassy can:
- assist family members in identifying institutions, local government agency and support for medical consultation; and
- coordinate with Japanese police for possible hospitalization of patients who are violent to themselves and others.
If you’re thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support, please consider reaching out to:
- Yorisoi Hotline
