Philippine Embassy Hosts ASEAN Golf Tournament 2023
The Philippine Embassy in Japan organized the 2023 ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Golf Tournament 2023 on 25 October 2023 at the Summit Golf Club in Ibaraki. Philippine Ambassador Mylene Garcia-Albano led the ceremonial tee-off in the morning to officially start the annual tournament.
In the afternoon, the Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Robespierre L. Bolivar awarded the prizes to the winning golfers. In his remarks, DCM Bolivar congratulated the winners and expressed the Embassy’s “honor to host the ACT Golf Tournament in the same year as the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation”. He also thanked the officials of the venue for the great arrangements made for the Tournament.
The Philippine Embassy golf team finished fourth in this year’s Tournament.
