ASEAN Mountain Cycling Team Visits the Embassy Ahead of Their First Philippine Race at the 7-Eleven Trail 2024 in San Mateo, Rizal

Philippine National Team mainstay Eusebia Nicole B. Quiñones together with Riyadh Hakim Lukman of Singapore, Dewi Sayu Bella Sukma of Indonesia, and Yuta Matsumoto of Japan, met with the Philippine Ambassador to Japan, Mylene J. Garcia-Albano, ahead of the team’s participation in the 7-Eleven Trail on 18 February 2024 at the Timberland Heights in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines.

Ambassador Garcia-Albano expressed her appreciation to the Asia Union TCS’ CEO and head coach, three-time Olympian Kohei Yamamoto of Japan, who was also present during the meeting, for establishing a mountain biking team composed of ‘one of the best mountain bikers’ from the different ASEAN countries and Japan. “It is indeed refreshing to see Japan and ASEAN mountain bikers team up as one.”, Ambassador Garcia-Albano said.

The 7-Eleven Trail is a competitive 40-km cross-country mountain bike race in the Philippines established in 2012 aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and deeper appreciation of the environment.
