The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) released the theme, “Championing Heritage: Capacity Building to Transform Communities,” for the celebration of the National Heritage Month (NHM) 2024. The official theme honors the labors of Philippine cultural workers and advocates who have been striving to connect with various indigenous people (IP) communities and help them boost their ingenuity and creativity to the mainstream media. Throughout the years, the Philippines has institutionalized various laws to further safeguard the country’s cultural heritage.
