Philippine Embassy Hosts Kristine Lim’s “Kwento ng Alon” International Exhibit in Tokyo

Philippine Embassy hosts Kristine Lim’s “Kuwento ng Alon” International Exhibit in Tokyo on 09, 13, and 14 June 2023.  A total of seven (7) artworks were on display at the consular area during the three-day exhibition.

In a simple ceremony, Ms. Lim handed over her featured masterpiece “Dayspring” to the Philippine Ambassador to Japan, Her Excellency Mylene J. Garcia-Albano, as a token of appreciation to the Embassy. Ambassador Garcia-Albano welcomed the donation on behalf of the Embassy and expressed her admiration for the artist’s creative use of the bountiful indigenous materials in the Philippines in her works.

An “Artist on a Mission,” Kristine Lim is a multi-awarded missionary visual artist whose “Kuwento ng Alon” (As Told by the Waves) series of artworks were based on her interpretation of the songs of Mr. Jonathan Manalo, Filipino songwriter, and record producer.  The next destination of “Kuwento ng Alon” international tour will be Beijing, China in July 2023.
