H.E. Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez Administers Oath of Allegiance of Filipino Cadets of the National Defense Academy of Japan

H. E. Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez joins Cadet Julwadi and Cadet Amigo for a photo with officials of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo and PMA cadets currently undertaking the undergraduate program at the National Defense Academy of Japan.

22 March 2016 – H.E. Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez led the ceremonies at the Philippine Embassy, Tokyo on the occasion of the graduation of two (2) PMA Cadets, Cadet Alhisham D Julwadi and Cadet James M Amigo, who finished their undergraduate studies from the National Defense Academy of Japan on 21 March 2016 under its International Exchange Program.

Cadet Julwadi and Cadet Amigo took their oath of allegiance before Ambassador Lopez at the ceremonies. The two graduates will go back to the Philippines and join the regular corps of officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Cadet Julwadi will join the Philippine Navy and Cadet Amigo will join the Philippine Air Force.

The undergraduate program of the National Defense Academy of Japan is part of the cooperation activities being undertaken by the Philippines and Japan. Since 1997, there have been five (5) cadet officers from the Philippine Military Academy who graduated from the National Defense Academy of Japan under the International Exchange Program.
