World Statistics Day 2020 – “Connecting the World with Data We Can Trust”
Today, 20 October, is World Statistics Day, with the theme “Connecting the world with data we can trust,” while we also commemorate National Statistics Month throughout the month of October.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) celebrates the importance of statistics in coming up with evidence-based consular, assistance-to-nationals (ATN), economic, public, and other diplomacy initiatives and activities, which are responsive to the needs of Filipinos here and abroad.
The DFA, together with its consular offices and Foreign Service posts, supports the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and all government agencies in highlighting the value of data towards a more responsive and effective government.
