The photo exhibition’s opening ceremony was graced by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Patron and Honorary President of Japan Through Diplomats’ Eyes. In her remarks, Princess Takamado fondly shared that the Japan through Diplomats’ Eyes exhibition is a project deeply close to the heart of her husband, the late Prince Takamado, who was himself an avid photographer. She emphasized that the initiative offers foreign diplomats and their families a unique platform to share their personal perspectives of the host country, offering snapshots that reflect a meaningful piece of their lives in Japan.
