1. Membership Coverage

Under Republic Act No. 9679, or the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) Law of 2009 which took effect in January 2010, membership coverage of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) became mandatory. The law also provides for the voluntary membership of Filipino immigrants, permanent Filipino residents abroad, and Filipinos who have been naturalized as citizens of other countries or with dual citizenship.
