Tokyo PE participates in International Festival Bazaar in Kisarazu
26 January 2019, Kisarazu. The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo participated at the International Festival Bazaar organized by the Kisarazu International Friendship Association (KIFA). The celebration, which attracted many visitors from Kisarazu City and the neighboring areas, presented cultural performances, hand-crafted goods and food from several countries around the world.
The Philippine Embassy set up a national stall featuring a wide range of Filipino products which were very popular with visitors. The Filipino community in Kisarazu, on the other hand, offered free adobo and pancit to attendees.
Ms. Amanai Kumiko, KIFA President, addressed the opening ceremony and expressed her appreciation to all participating embassies. Kisarazu Mayor Yoshikuni Watanabe visited the Filipino booth and spoke well of the Filipino residents in his city.
Kisarazu City, a city located in Chiba Prefecture, is home to almost a thousand Filipinos.
