Tokyo PE Conducts Joint Mobile Passport / Consular Services and OAV Registration in Sapporo
The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo deployed a joint consular and OAV team to Sapporo, Hokkaido on 29 September 2012, as part of the Embassy’s continuing commitment to reach out to Filipino nationals living outside the Tokyo area. The mission was held at the Sapporo International Communication Plaza Foundation.
There are approximately 1,259 registered Filipinos living in Hokkaido.
A total of 96 Filipinos availed of passport services, 12 availed of notarial and civil registration services and 108 applied for OAV registration.
The consular team was composed of Consul General Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio, Mr. Lawrence V. Cuevas, Ms. Malou A. Komatsu, Mr. Reynaldo W. Cahayag, Jr. and Mr. Mars R. Zafra. The OAV team was composed of Consul Christian L. De Jesus, Ms. Thelma M. Divino and Mr. Reynaldo B. Damgo.
The Embassy coordinated with the Filipino community in Sapporo to ensure a successful mission.
The Philippine Embassy will undertake a joint consular and OAV mission to Okinawa on 5-6 October 2012.
