Secretary Del Rosario, Foreign Minister Kishida Hold Meeting in Tokyo
18 November 2014 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario is welcomed by Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida prior to their bilateral meeting in Tokyo to review the strategic partnership of the Philippines and Japan based on the shared values of rule of law, peaceful settlement of dispute and security of countries in the Asian region. Secretary Del Rosario was joined in the bilateral meeting by Philippine Ambassador to Japan Manuel M. Lopez, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Policy Evan P. Garcia, Deputy Chief of Mission Gilberto Asuque, Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Minda Calaguian Cruz, Minister Josel F. Ignacio and Director Hans Mohaimin L. Siriban. Minister Kishida was assisted in the bilateral meeting by Mr. Masashi Nakagome, Executive Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Naoki Kumagai, Director, 2nd Southeast Asia Division; Mr. Shogo Yoshitake, Senior Foreign Policy Coordinator, Policy Coordination Division; Mr. Hirotaka Ono, Director, 2nd Southeast Asia Division; and Ms. Keiko Nakano, Deputy Director Cultural Affairs and Overseas Public Relations. The bilateral talks were held at the Lino Building, Tokyo, prior to the symposium on the 60th anniversary celebration of Japan’s Official Development Assistance. END
