Philippine Embassy in Tokyo Concludes Consular Outreach Program 2013 in Okinawa
The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo successfully concluded its 2013 Consular Outreach with the conduct of Mobile Passport and Other Consular Services held in Okinawa from 11 to 12 October 2013. Services ranging from 141 passport renewal applications, 3 notarization and other consular services as well as 20 consultations were rendered during said mission.
The consular outreach was undertaken in cooperation with Philippine Honorary Consul General to Okinawa Asako Alarcon, in Naha City. The consular team from Tokyo was comprised of Vice Consul Andrea Leycano, Miss Janice Kathleen Lobien, Mr. Rey Cahayag, Mr. Mars Zafra and Mr. Baltazar Cortes.
The Philippine Embassy served 1,298 Filipinos during its conduct of nine (9) consular missions in 2013 at the following prefectures in coordination with different Filipino Community Organizations from each concerned prefecture: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture – 26 January 2013, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture – 02 March 2013, Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture – 22-23 March 2013, Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture – 29 June 2013, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture – 13 July 2013, Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture – 27 July 2013, Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture – 17 August 2013, Sapporo City, Hokkaido Prefecture – 13-14 September 2013 and Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture – 11-12 October 2013.
