Philippine Embassy Bolsters Ties With Aichi Prefecture Through Dialogue

The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo welcomed Hon. Mitsunori OKAMOTO, Member of the House of Representatives of Japan representing Aichi’s 9th District, together with his constituents and supporters, on 6 November 2025.
During the courtesy call, Hon. Okamoto and Embassy officials discussed matters concerning Filipino workers in Japan, including efforts to ensure their welfare and the ongoing implementation of the Philippines–Japan Social Security Agreement. The Aichi delegation also expressed condolences and support following the devastation wrought by Typhoon “Tino” (international name Kaelmegi) in central Philippines.
On behalf of Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene J. Garcia-Albano, Deputy Chief of Mission Christian L. de Jesus conveyed appreciation for the message of solidarity and the Aichi delegation’s interest in strengthening cooperation and understanding between Japanese communities and Filipino residents in Aichi. Also present at the dialogue were Acting Consul General Mary Joy B. Ramirez, Labor Attaché Ramon Lamberto C. Pastrana, Social Security System (SSS) Representative Kathryn Quinn E. Eusuya, and Public Diplomacy Officer Antonio Emmanuel R. Miranda. END
