Philippine Ambassador Welcomes Xavier School Students to Tokyo
10 April 2025 – Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene J. Garcia-Albano welcomed twelve (12) secondary students from Xavier School in the Philippines to the Official Residence of the Ambassador in Tokyo.
Ambassador Garcia-Albano underscored the historical significance of the Official Residence, which has been conferred the status of National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines—the first property outside the Philippines to receive such distinction.
In addition to their visit to the Official Residence, the students also toured the Chancery of the Philippine Embassy, where they received a briefing on Philippines-Japan relations and learned about opportunities for higher education exchanges between the two countries through the Global Network Project to Promote Study in Japan.
The visit formed part of the inaugural Xavier School International Program for Japan, held from 03 to 12 April 2025.
