Philippine Ambassador to Japan Welcomes Filipino Student Participant to the Kizuna Program of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Philippine Ambassador to Japan, His Excellency Jose C. Laurel V, met with Ms. Rie Ogata and Mr. Hiroyuki Matsuda of the Energy and Mining Group, Infrastructure Management Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) together with Filipino student participant to the JICA Kizuna Program, Ms. Jomarie Profugo Permejo, on a virtual courtesy call on 26 November 2021.
Ms. Permejo, who is scheduled to arrive in Japan in December 2021 for her Master Research Course at Kyushu University, presented her proposed research paper on the geothermal structure in Buguias-Tinoc, Ifugao and Benguet Provinces in the Philippines. Ambassador Laurel congratulated Ms. Permejo for the opportunity given to her by JICA and hoped that her study yields effective solutions towards a “healthier earth”.
JICA’s Kizuna Program offers opportunities for young professionals from South East Asia, Africa, and South and Central America to advance their studies in geothermal field at Japanese Universities.
