PH Kid’s Football Team Excels in 4v4 Asian Cup in Tokyo

TOKYO, 13 August 2025 – The Makati Football Club, represented by six young and talented Filipino players, ages 10-11, participated in this year’s 4v4 Asian Cup held on 10 August 2025 in Tokyo. The team, composed of Gab Callao, Chen Campo, Aly Ramos, Lucho Lagdameo, Gavin Bernaldo and Tiago Bengzon, bested three youth teams from other Asian countries to reach the semi-finals.

“I am truly proud of the kids from the Makati Football Club who gave all their best, and have shown guts, grit and great football talent during the tournament,” said Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene J. Garcia-Albano who watched the games held at the Ota City General Gymnasium.

The 4v4 Asian Cup is an international football tournament for young players (under 10 and under 12 years old) developed by Japanese former professional football player, Keisuke Honda. It featured ten Asian teams competing in a 4v4 format (4 players from each team).

The Makati Football Club players were accompanied by their coach, Mr. Dan Padernal, and were supported by their families during the games.
