Reception Rites

The two (2) Philippine Military Academy (PMA) exchange cadets, who completed a year of Japanese language and cultural training, officially entered the Japan National Defense Academy (JNDA) as full-fledged cadets on 05 April 2025, ready to undergo rigorous academic and military training.

In reception rites at the JNDA this year, Cadets Dwight Humprey C. Balmes and Neil Zievart B. Pula, represented the PMA. This Cadets exchange program signifies a deepening defense cooperation between the Philippines and Japan, with continued support from the Philippine Embassy in Japan through the Office of the Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché.

This is a proud milestone for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and a testament to international partnership and shared commitment to excellence. The PMA continues to provide quality education and training and opportunities to study abroad to young Filipinos to prepare them in their future roles as Officers of the AFP.
