Public Announcement: Limited Consular Services
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
In light of the events presently affecting Japan brought about by the seismic event of March 11, 2011, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo, Japan will be accepting only applications for Travel Documents for emergency travel to the Philippines, and passport extensions beginning 15 March 2011 (9AM – 3PM) until further notice.
Applicants with previous consular transactions scheduled for RELEASING may claim their documents as per date and time indicated in their receipts. Documents that will be released by mail (except those whose mailing addresses are in Miyagi-ken and Fukushima-ken) will be turned over to the post office as per usual procedure.
Travel Document applicants should read the details below and bring the necessary documents detailed as applicable.
Case 1. Applicant has Applied for ePassport
- Bring your receipt for epassport.
- Bring your cancelled, old passport.
- Bring two (2) passport-sized photos (any background color).
Case 2. Applicant Has Expired Old Passport
- Bring your old, expired passport
- Bring two (2) passport-sized photos (any background color)
Case 3. Applicant is a minor with no Passport
- Filipino parent must accompany the minor and bring his/her own valid passport
- Bring minor applicant’s copy of Report of Birth/Birth Certificate
- Bring two (2) passport-sized photos of minor applicant (any background color)
Case 4. Applicant is NOT a minor, but with no Passport
- Bring copy of NSO birth certificate
- Bring two (2) passport-sized photos of applicant (any background color)
- Copy of Immigration documents, if applicable
