Philippines Participates in the 2022 Ikebana International Charity Fair
The Philippine Embassy participated in the 2022 Ikebana International Charity Fair on 12 December 2022 at the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo. The event held an opening ceremony which was graced by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Honorable Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo, and Madame Yuko Hayashi, Spouse of Japan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.
At the opening ceremony, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado expressed her appreciation to the Diplomatic Corps for their unwavering support to the annual charity fair of the Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter (IITFC) for the benefit of local residents in disaster-stricken areas in Japan. Tokyo Governor Hon. Koike recognized that International bazaars are remarkable venues for cultural exchange and friendship.
Prior to the Opening Ceremony, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Governor Koike and Madame Hayashi visited the booths of the various Embassies as well as the different commercial booths at the Fair.
The Philippine Embassy annually participates in the fair as an opportunity to showcase Philippine handicrafts and food products while supporting the organization’s charitable endeavors.
