Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School Thanks The Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) For Supporting Its Scholars
The Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society Inc. (ALFS) hosted its annual New Year’s Party at Meiji Kinenkan on 24 January 2024. A photo exhibit was held during the event showing all the recipients of the 2023 ALFS donation. The donation came from the Charity Bazaar held by the Society in 2023.
The Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS) received the donation for the Philippines. It was used to fund the purchase of books for deserving scholars in the school’s Grades 11 and 12. The students expressed their gratitude by making a special scrapbook with their personal letters addressed to the ALFS. This book of letters was officially handed over to ALFS officials, which the latter graciously accepted.
The Asia Pacific Ladies Friendship Society Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1968 with the vision to unite Japan with its’ neighboring countries to bring peace and prosperity within the Asia Pacific Region. The organization regularly undertakes activities that promote international exchange, cultural activities, and charity events in coordination with its 25 member-country Embassies including the Philippines.
