Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan Conducts Consular Mission in Sendai, Miyagi
Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano met with the Filipino community during the Embassy’s Consular Mission in Sendai, Miyagi on 20 May 2023.
The Ambassador reminded the Filipino community that the Embassy is ready to assist them and thanked them for their continued support. The Ambassador also reminded Filipinos present to register for the ongoing Overseas Registration.
The Migrant Workers Office in Tokyo, Japan, headed by the Labor Attaché, Mr. Ramon Lamberto C. Pastrana, also presented the various services and benefits that are available to Overseas Filipino Workers. The Tourism Attaché, Mr. Niel P. Ballesteros, also presented the Bisita Be My Guest (BBMG) program.
The Filipino community consisted of Filipinos from Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima and Aomori. His Excellency The Most Reverend Edgar Gacutan, the Bishop of Sendai, also joined the Filipino community during the Consular Mission.
The Embassy was able to assist 86 Filipinos in living in the Miyagi prefecture with its various consular services.
