Philippine Delegation to the 3rd UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (3WCDRR) Negotiates New Global Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction

Domingo (3rd from ), actively take part in the negotiations on the new global framework for disaster risk reduction at the Third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (3WCDRR) being held Sendai, Japan from 14-18 March 2015.
As the world heads toward the end date of The Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 (HFA1) – Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters, which came out of the World Conference held in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan, the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 66/199 requested UNISDR to facilitate the development of a post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction. The successor to HFA1 to aims to guide nations, communities and other actors in managing risks and preventing the creation of new risks. END
