Philippine Ambassador Meets New Secretary General of the Japan-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship League
Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene Garcia-Albano paid a courtesy call on Hon. YAMADA Kenji, Secretary-General of the Japan-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship League (JPPFL), on 22 April 2025 in Tokyo.
During the meeting, both officials reaffirmed the importance of the Strategic Partnership between the Philippines and Japan. Ambassador Garcia-Albano expressed the Philippines’ commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and engagement with the JPPFL, as the two countries explore new avenues of cooperation in the lead-up to the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations in 2026.
