TOKYO, 09 September 2025 – As part of the Philippines’ cultural and public diplomacy initiatives, and an advance celebration of National Tourism Week in the Philippines, the Philippine Embassy organized a cultural immersion activity for the  participants of the Global Village Yurakucho House “Embassy Visit” program on 03 September 2025 at the Embassy chancery. “The Philippine Embassy hopes to expand its network among various local groups, especially those that promote multiculturalism and people-to-people ties. De Jesus during his welcome remarks on behalf of Ambassador to Japan Mylene J. Garcia-Albano.

The afternoon cultural immersion program featured a video presentation on the Philippines, as well as a Filipino language session where participants learned useful words and phrases, and immediately put the language lesson into practice by introducing themselves in Filipino.
