II. Non-Immigrant Visa Requirements for Foreigners in Transit / 9(B) Visa
Foreign nationals who are traveling from one country and transiting through the Philippines en route to a third or final destination may apply for a 9(b) transit visa. The transit visa may be used if the traveler wishes to briefly leave the airport during transit, using their transit time to do a few hours of sightseeing near the Philippine airport or to transfer to different airports/terminal.
Note: The maximum allowed Transit period is 72 hours.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Original passport and photocopy of its data page. The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines;
- Duly accomplished FA Form No. 2 (Affix signature as shown in the passport) https://tokyo.philembassy.net/downloads/visa-nonimmi.pdf;
- Passport-size color photograph, taken within the last 3 months, pasted in the designated box in the application form (Note: Photo should be white or off-white background, neutral facial expression, no eyeglasses/accessories);
- Duly accomplished Undertaking for Visa https://tokyo.philembassy.net/downloads/forms/undertaking-visa-applicant.pdf;
- Confirmed onward ticket showing flight details of travel from country of origin to destination country via the Philippines;
- Self-addressed ¥600 Letterpack;
