Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Mori Masako Exchanged Views on Women’s Empowerment
13 April 2023 – Ambassador-designate Mylene J. GARCIA-ALBANO and Special Advisor (SA) to the Prime Minister MORI Masako had a fruitful exchange of views on gender issues. SA MORI recognized the leading role of the Philippines, saying that the creation of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) is a demonstration of the importance the Philippines attaches to women and gender equality.
Besides her portfolio on women, SA Mori is also known for her advocacy on the revitalization of Fukushima, the prefecture she represents at the House of Councillors. Meeting for the first time, the two officials vowed to sustain their engagement with the view to advance women’s empowerment.
