Ambassador Garcia-Albano Receives The Honorable MORIYAMA Hiroshi at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo
Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano received The Honorable MORIYAMA Hiroshi, Chairman of the Japan-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship League, on 21 April, when he visited the Philippine Embassy to pay his respects to the late Albert del Rosario, former Secretary of Foreign Affairs. The late Secretary del Rosario passed away on 18 April 2023.
In their conversation, Ambassador Garcia-Albano and Honorable Moriyama recognized the late Secretary del Rosario for his contribution to the Strategic Partnership of the Philippines and Japan. They exchanged ideas on how to build upon the successful visit to Japan of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., followed by that of Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and the Senate delegation.
Former Secretary del Rosario was conferred the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun by the Government of Japan in 2022.
