Advisory On Enhanced Community Quarantine
In line with the implementation of an Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon and other parts of the Philippines effective 17 March 2020, the Philippine Embassy advises Filipinos, Japanese and other nationalities, especially those traveling to the Philippines from Japan in the next 72 hours, of the following:
- Whenever possible, we advise you to defer all travel to the Philippines until after the Enhanced Community Quarantine is lifted.
If you cannot postpone or cancel travel to the Philippines, or if you are already in the Philippines at this time, contact your airline and carefully plan your travels, taking into account the enhanced community quarantine measures in the entirety of Luzon Island and various local government units (LGUs) nationwide; - You should be prepared for very strict quarantine measures when arriving at the airport or at other points of entry nationwide. For travelers from Japan, health officials at NAIA and other airports may require you to do a 14-day home quarantine upon arrival; and
- Constantly monitor development to be posted on the Embassy website and other social media platforms.
The Philippine Embassy remains committed to providing services to the general public. As the situation continues to evolve, adjustments will be made, as necessary, in conformity with Philippine government policies and regulations.
