Consular Mission to Hokkaido
The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo deployed a consular team to Hokkaido to provide passport and other consular services to the Filipino community in northern Japan. The consular mission was held at the Sapporo International Community Plaza last Saturday, 10 September 2011.
The consular team was composed of Vice Consul Ryan Pondoc, Mr. Ricardo Yambao, Ms. Vanesa Sumera and Ms. Mary Jane Mariano.
Post coordinated and worked with the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Sapporo headed by Kenichi Tobe and the Filipino community in Hokkaido. After the consular mission, the Filipino community in Hokkaido relayed their message of appreciation to Ambassador Manuel Lopez for making the consular mission possible.
