Ambassador Garcia-Albano Meets With Filipinos Working at the Various Embassies in Tokyo
The Philippine Embassy hosted a gathering of Filipinos working at the various Embassies in Tokyo, Japan. This was the first meeting of this nature held at the Philippine Embassy.
Philippine Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia-Albano welcomed the guests together with Tourism Attache Niel Ballesteros and Labor Attache Ramon Pastrana. Other officials of the Embassy’s cultural, consular, tourism, and migrant workers offices were also present at the event. The tourism office introduced their “Bisita, Be My Guest” campaign while MWO had a brief question and answer session with the attendees. Services for registration of Philippine Overseas Voters were also available onsite.
The Ambassador welcomed the opportunity to welcome the Filipinos and to listen to their stories so that their concerns can be brought to the attention of the appropriate officials.
Ambassador Garcia-Albano stated that it was her great pleasure to hold this first gathering of Filipinos working at various Embassies in Japan. The Ambassador discovered that there is quite a number of Filipinos working at the Embassies when she went around to call on the various Ambassadors and attended events at the different Embassies in the past few months since her arrival in Japan.
