Advisory on Donations for the Victims of Typhoon Pablo (International Name: Bopha)

Following the devastation and loss of lives caused by Typhoon “Pablo” (international codename: Bopha) in southern Philippines, President Benigno Aquino III　recently signed Proclamation No. 522, declaring a State of National Calamity, which “will hasten the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the government and the private sector including any international humanitarian assistance.”

According to the NDRRMC Update on 10 December 2012, there have been 647 casualties and 1,482 injured, while 780 remain missing. There has been a total of 70,869 damaged houses and 487,364 families affected. The affected population includes 5,412,140 persons in 1,928 barangays, 249 municipalities, 38 cities and 30 provinces of Regions IV-B, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII and CARAGA.

The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo wishes to inform the public that voluntary cash or money donations for the victims of Typhoon Pablo (international name: Bopha) may be remitted to the bank accounts listed below:
