RP Embassy in Tokyo Receives ¥3.77M Donation from Mini Stop Co. Ltd. for Typhoon Ondoy Disaster Relief Efforts
The Philippine Embassy in Tokyo received ¥3,766,519.00 million (approximately P1.88 million) voluntary cash donation on 13 November 2009 from officials of Mini Stop Co. Ltd as humanitarian assistance for those affected by Typhoon Ondoy (international name: Ketsana) in the Philippines.
Ambassador Domingo L. Siazon, Jr. received Mini Stop Co. Ltd. President Nobuyuki Abe and other officials. President Abe shared his condolences with the victims in the Philippines due to the damages brought by Typhoon Ondoy.
Ambassador Siazon thanked President Abe and Mini Stop Co. Ltd for their generous contribution. Mini Stop Co. Ltd.’s contribution followed the earlier contribution of ¥5 million from its parent company, AEON Co. Ltd., for Typhoon Ondoy disaster relief efforts on 02 October 2009.
