Philippines–Japan Friendship 70th Anniversary Special VIP Tour to Manila Philippine Ambassador to Japan to Join the Tour; Exclusive Gala Dinner by Michelin-Starred Chefs from Japan and the Philippines

The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Japan, the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board, and Philippine Airlines, is pleased to announce the Special VIP Tour to Manila, scheduled from July 3 to 6, 2026, in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Philippines–Japan Diplomatic Relations.

The four-day program aims to provide participants with a deeper appreciation of the Philippines’ rich history and cultural heritage while further strengthening the longstanding friendship and people-to-people ties between the Philippines and Japan.

The tour will be led by Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene Garcia-Albano, and will feature a special guided tour of Intramuros, Manila’s historic walled city. Participants will also enjoy exclusive cultural and culinary experiences showcasing the unique connections between the two nations.

The highlight of the tour will be a one-night-only gala dinner prepared by Michelin-recognized chefs representing the Philippines and Japan. The dinner will be held at one of the historic mansions, located within the Malacañang Palace complex.

About Intramuros
Founded in 1571 during the Spanish colonial period, Intramuros is the historic heart of Manila and one of the Philippines’ most important cultural and heritage destinations. It is home to numerous landmarks, including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed San Agustin Church, the oldest stone church in the Philippines, and the historic Fort Santiago.
