New Batch of PMA Cadets Begin Training at Japan’s National Defense Academy

A proud and momentous milestone unfolds as a new batch of cadets from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) begins their academic and military training at the Japan National Defense Academy (JNDA) in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Among those embarking on this distinguished path are Cadet 4th Class Marriah Cresiah M. Juntilla of Charlie Company, from Monkayo, Davao de Oro, and Cadet 4th Class Athan Louis F. Fabro of Hawk Company, from Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Capt. Peter G. Tolentino III, PN (GSC), formally sent off the cadets during the Passing Ceremony held at the JNDA on 01 April 2026. In this solemn ceremony, the cadets were formally transferred, marking not only a transition between institutions but also their entry into a wider community of future military leaders committed to honor, discipline, and excellence.
As they train alongside their Japanese counterparts, Cadets Juntilla and Fabro carry with them the enduring values of courage, integrity, and loyalty.
