The Philippine Embassy congratulates the latest batch of Filipino graduates at the Japan National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies (GRIPS)!

The latest batch of Filipino graduates at the Japan National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies (GRIPS) during their graduation ceremony held on 12 September 2025 at the Institute. Ms. Samantha Louise Sincioco Nepomuceno of the Philippine Competition Commission (rightmost) is one of the recipients of the Dean’s Awards.
Eleven young and promising civil servants, educators and development experts obtained their doctorate and master’s degrees on various programs spanning public policy, finance, governance, disaster management and security from the Institute, during the Graduation Ceremony held on 12 September 2025 at GRIPS.
The Filipino graduates are Ms. Arianne Dacanos from the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro; Ms. Michelle Cabangon Castillo from the University of the Philippines; Ms. Maria Sylvia Canlas Nachura; Ms. Katrin Joy Carandang Angeles from the Japan International Cooperation Agency-Philippines Office; Ms. Samantha Louise Sincioco Nepomuceno of the Philippine Competition Commission; Mr. Jordan Mabuna Ballaran from the Department of Energy; Mr. Marvin Kyle Montanez Abreu from the Bureau of the Treasury; Ms. Neo Danica Jeniene Garcia Galera from the Department of Finance; Mr. Sien Ivan Espiritu Manuel from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Institute or Volcanology and Seismology; Mr. Dean Aldrene Omo Badua from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University; and Mr. Mark Erwin Ortaleza from the Philippine Coast Guard.
Ms. Samantha Louise Sincioco Nepomuceno of the Philippine Competition Commission is also one of the recipients of the Dean’s Awards.
Since its establishment in 1997, GRIPS has awarded more than 6,500 certificates to individuals from the public and private sectors representing 126 countries. Representatives from the Philippines have annually participated in GRIPS’ various programs, including executive programs for Philippine government executives.
