University of Tokyo Signs MOU with Philippines’ SRA to Enhance Sugarcane Life Cycle Research

The University of Tokyo’s Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI) and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) of the Philippines on 21 March 2025.
The will focus on advancing collaborative research on sugarcane-derived production, technology assessment, systems design, and social demonstration of sugarcane-related life cycles.
