Philippine Food Exporters Featured At Tokyo’s Premier Seafood Expo

27 August 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Japan, through the Office of the Agriculture Attaché, joined the 26th Japan International Seafood & Technology Expo at Tokyo Big Sight from 21 to 23 August 2024.

This year, five Philippine food exporter companies were promoted through the Philippine Embassy Booth, specifically located at Booth No. M41-42, East Hall 5-6, Tokyo Big Sight.

The companies are as follows:

  1. PHIL-UNION FROZEN FOODS, INC.
    Frozen / Canned: Crab, Shrimp, Octopus, Sardines, Tuna
  2. LICK THE SPOON GOURMET FOODS INC.
    Bottled Tinapa (Smoked Fish), Tuyo / Daing (Salted Dried Fish),
    Bagoong (Fermented Shrimp Fry)
  3. ELISHA BAY DAGUPAN BANGUS AND SEAFOODS
    Bottled Bangus (milkfish) , Bottled Tuyo, Vacuum sealed bangus (milkfish)
  4. MARDAK GLOBAL EXPORT INC.
    Bottled bagoong (Fermented Shrimp Fry) / shrimp paste
  5. MEGA PRIME FOODS INC.
    Canned and Bottled sardines, Canned Tuna and Mackerel

Organized by the Japan Fisheries Association, the Japan International Seafood & Technology Expo 2024 is one of the largest and most influential seafood exhibitions in Japan. This three-day international trade event showcases the latest trends and innovations in the fisheries industry, featuring everything from locally sourced ingredients across Japan to global fishery products, raw materials, and cutting-edge technologies driving the industry’s growth.

This year’s exhibition attracted over 25,000 guests.

Garcia-Albano stated.

The Philippines’ participation in this event was supported by the ASEAN-Japan Center.
