2021 Rizal Day and Screening of the Film – “Rizal’s Pen”
The Philippine Embassy in Japan and Sentro Rizal – Tokyo join the nation in commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. The theme for the 2021 Rizal Day commemoration is “Rizal: Para sa Agham, Katotohanan, at Buhay (Rizal: For Science, Truth, and Life).
And, from 30 December 2021 to 1 January 2022, “Rizal’s Pen,” a film by Nicolas B. Pichay will be available for viewing at this link: https://youtu.be/z83Zb0GPh5w
The short film is about Patrick, who discovers the humanistic and liberating force of the works of Dr. Jose Rizal while contending with life under quarantine. This production is brought to you by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Tanghalang Pilipino and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
