The Philippine Embassy in Japan welcomed the continued increase in overseas voting registration applications during its third Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) hearing held on 19 October 2026.
The hearing reviewed and approved more than 800 applications for overseas voting registration received during the period of 01 July-30 September 2026, marking a 60 percent increase in applications from the previous RERB hearing on 20 July 2026. The upward trend was attributed to the Embassy’s enhanced personnel capacity and extended registration operations during weekend consular outreach missions and Filipino community events outside Tokyo.

Pastrana and Consular Assistant and Attaché Hazel B Peña, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Antonio Emmanuel R. Miranda as Administering Officer, and Legal and Records Officer Atty. Jamille R.
