Marubeni Donates to Support Communities Affected by the 8 June 2026 Mindanao Earthquake
Marubeni Corporation Deputy General Manager Jun Saijo ceremonially turned over the company’s donation to Philippine Ambassador Mylene Garcia-Albano in support of communities affected by the 8 June 2026 Mindanao earthquake.
A long-time partner of the Philippines, Marubeni’s relationship with the country dates back to 1909. In 1911, the company established its Manila office, focusing on abaca exports.
The JPY3 million cash donation has been deposited with the Department of Social Welfare and Development to support relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by the earthquake.
The Philippine Embassy expresses its sincere appreciation to Marubeni Corporation for its generosity, compassion, and steadfast commitment to the Filipino people.
