18 April 2023 – Ambassador Mylene J. Garcia Albano invited Japanese travelers to choose and visit the Philippines in a press conference organized by Cebu Pacific to announce the resumption of its Narita-Cebu and Narita-Clark routes in May 2023.
In her remarks, Ambassador Garcia -Albano recognized the vital role of tourism in the Philippines’ economic resurgence in a post-COVID19 world, adding that “The Philippines welcomes with open arms Japanese visitors who are looking for a getaway for diving, health and wellness, and English language education, among other offerings. Through partners such as Cebu Pacific, we hope to promote the Philippines as a destination of choice for Japanese outbound travelers, especially as we approach the Golden Week holidays.”
She asked Japanese outbound travelers to “Choose Philippines because we offer an unforgettable experience, with our much renowned Filipino hospitality. Choose Philippines because our tropical climate and the wonders of our nature will surely captivate your senses. Choose Philippines because of the endless discoveries that await you in our more than 7,100 islands.”
