This Month in the History of Philippines-Japan Relations and 160th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal
In celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Japan, the Philippine Embassy in Japan invites everyone to revisit an event that occurred this month of JUNE in the history of the two countries’ relations. On 19 June 2018, the first Japanese produced manga about the Philippines’ National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was launched online. The Philippines commemorates the 160th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal on 19 June 2021.
