Philippine Embassy places in the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Bowling Tournament 2011

The Philippine Embassy won first runner-up honors at this year’s ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Bowling Tournament held last 23 July 2011 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel bowling centre.

The Philippine Embassy, last year’s Bowling Champion, garnered a total pinfall of 2,994 for three games. This year’s champion team was from the Embassy of Singapore with a total pinfall of 3,011. This annual sports event of ASEAN was hosted this time by the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam.

H.E. Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez was second runner up in the Ambassadors’ Category. In the Men’s Individual Category, Mr. Leopoldo Orines won first place while in the Women’s Individual Category, Ms. Marianita Llenos was first runner up. The First Turkey prize was awarded to Mr. Lopito Orines.

Accepting the first runner up trophy for the Philippine Embassy was H.E. Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez. This year’s line-up is composed of Ambassador Manuel M. Lopez (Team Leader), Mr. Christian L. De Jesus, Mr. Bayani Sibug, Jr., Mr. Nestor Leuterio, Mr. Lopito Orines, Mr. Leopoldo Orines, and Ms. Marianita Llenos.
