Philippine Embassy joins TESDA in an inter-active forum with Overseas Filipino Leaders

Ambassador Jose C. Laurel V shares the Embassy’s efforts in helping OFs/OFWs amidst COVID and encourages OFs/OFWs to apply for TESDA online courses.

Ambassador Jose C. Laurel V joined the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), through the leadership of Director General Isidro S. Lapeña, in an online interactive dialogue with over 150 leaders from the OFW community all over the world last Friday, 22 May. The forum was an opportunity to inform the OFs/OFWs of its programs to improve their competitiveness, and ensure that they acquire the needed certification, in the local and global markets. OFs/OFWs also provided their recommendations on training programs that can be implemented by TESDA.

I encourage our Kababayans to take to take advantage of these programs and level up their skills for their personal and career development. The programs by TESDA are free-of-charge,” remarked Ambassador Laurel.

The TESDA Online Program (TOP) is an open educational resource that aims to make technical education more accessible to Filipino citizens through the use of information and communication technologies. TOP provides an effective and efficient way to deliver technical education and skills development services to a broader audience/wide range of users/all learners at a lesser cost.
